Who knows the history behind these signs?
I’m going to post the video when I get it. And then I’m probably going to FOIA the emails and texts of the Washington County reps on SEWRPC’s communications with Schoemann.
I’m in the process of FOIAing SEWRPC for the full zoom recording because there’s a lot more interesting stuff on there like the Board President thinking he can get a 2/3s majority on the board to override Schoemann if he tries to go through with it.
Apparently, the Washington County Executive wants to leave SEWPRC according to this SEWPRC meeting I’m listening to. They want to pick and choose what they pay for. They’re talking about a divorce and if this is appropriate venue to discuss this.
They changed the names. We want substitute 4, not substitute 6.

Milwaukee's ADU bill is so screwy that the proponents are the opponents. urbanmilwaukee.com/2025/06/17/c...
… bullying of homeowners (by neighbors) who may just want a place for their grandma or adult children to live separately. It’s a scenario designed to create conflict between neighbors who are not used to the opposition normal developers get.
- This will have a chilling effect on the production of internal ADUs
- The way this bill is set up, ADUs can only be build in greenfield development or by owner-occupants. These are just normal people, not developers. Making every internal ADU proposal go before BOZA is asking to encourage the…

To be clear, we want Sub C!
There’s going to be a floor fight at the next Common Council Meeting between sub C and sub E for ADU legalization in file 240999.
If you haven’t, email your alder to support the supstitution and passing of Sub C, especially if your alder is:
- Brower
- Moore
- Westmoreland
- Dimitrijevic
- Coggs
Basically, email your alder with Support for File #insert here and say something along the lines of ‘I’d like to be recorded as in support of file #insert here’ and then talk about why you support the file
I think you can send a letter of support in the case of most files
I’ve written a letter of support, but it’s not on there yet.
If you haven’t, there’s also an affordable housing project on file that needs advocacy! milwaukee.legistar.com/LegislationD...
Milwaukee Urbanist/Housing Folks, I'm glad the ADU ordinance passed 5-0, but really need to have stronger showings of support.
Can't just be me and Cade holding down the fort. :-D
I would like to thank Supervisor Wasserman + @davidcrowleywi.bsky.social and his administration for making these changes. It demonstrates a strong commitment to Milwaukee County’s goals of building 10 additional miles of trails and to achieving Vision Zero.

There will be a PIM on Feb. 27th between 4-6 PM at the Lois & Tom Dolan Community Center. If you are able, it is important that you come and support the improvements and ask for better pedestrian protection. Here is a link with more info: county.milwaukee.gov/EN/Department-…

All in all, this is a significant improvement over their previous design. While more improvements must be made to intersections to ensure the safety of pedestrians, this project is now on the right track.

They are now proposing:
- A new multi-use trail on Bradley between Sherman and Teutonia
- A new multi-use trail on Sherman between Bradley and the rail overpass
- Narrower lanes
- A reduction in the speed limit from 40 to 35 mph

I have an exciting update on the Sherman/Teutonia/Bradley reconstruction project! MCDOT has heard you all loud and clear about your safety concerns in regard to the proposed design. As such, they have come back with a much improved design proposal.

Remember my fellow Democrats, tariffs are an abomination, a scourge. They make products more expensive and the quality worse. The American People must know this. Every Trump Tariff must be opposed, bitterly.
Whoever is interested in volunteering for Kevin’s campaign, please message me your name and contact info (preferably both phone number and email) so we can begin creating a list
I figure Van Buren and Jackson were great streets at one point.
Kevin is a great guy and would be a great asset for the city.
Kevin Germino, Vice President of the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association, is running for Alderman of District 3. He intends to win this election and advance the vision and values of the late Alderman Jonathan Brostoff.
