It's wild to think that if a missile had accidentally hit Epstein Island at the right moment in the mid 2000's, so much of our modern history would have been better.

Not to doom, but it’s March, and roughly half of the world’s fertilizer supply travels through Strait of Hormuz. The amount of death and destruction this administration has unleashed on the world isn’t being taken seriously enough

We are living in a hellaciously busy cycle of weather news (never mind overall news), but this one seemingly arrived out of left field. Half a million acres burned in just two days.

There's a hauntingly beautiful irony in these morons thinking that carefully crafted American hegemony was actually weak and woke, and they would be the ones who would do Power and Dominance properly, and immediately bringing everything crashing down

You know what? Fine, tech bros. You win. You get to do algorithmic pricing.

But in return, we get to do algorithmic taxing on everyone with a net-worth over $5million. As a little treat.

Cancelling plans is okay. Putting yourself first is okay. Going for a long walk is okay. Abandoning society is okay. Moving into a cave with a family of raccoons is okay. Giving them tiny swords & shields is okay. Do what you need to do to cope.

The rise of online vibrant events in early Covid offered a lot of hope for disabled/chronically ill people who have access issues attending IRL events (including going into a flare later). Anti-Zoom reactive sentiment pushed a lot of people into being more isolated again.

Sucks when you can't afford your Mr.Beast-silin because Polymarket won't pay out on 'which country will the pedophiles bomb next' pool due to insider trading

We're splitting hairs here. I will give you that Churchill was a more eloquent speaker. But more than that is historical revisionism and nationalism.

That's not exactly a 1-to-1 comparison, but yeah Churchill would never betray his country. Except for the people that lived in Bengal that he let starve because they wanted independence, even though they were British subjects. And pushing to let the Free French go unaided wasn't traitorous at all.

No he ruined the British economy by returning to the gold standard. But you knew that of course.

He was a more eloquent racist you mean. But yeah it's not like he ruined the economy - oh wait no he did. Well at least didn't commit grievous errors during wartime - oh wait no he did that too. I guess you're writing off the govt violence against the Irish and Indian people as just bigotry.

Any time you’re told tech CEOs are brilliant, remember Zuckerberg spent 77 billion on the metaverse and is committed to *600* billion on data centers, yet has nothing to show for any of it lol
