i am bad at gauging what other people know about but top of my list would probably be Pushing Daisies

others that come to mind:
Terriers
No Tomorrow
The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Marvel’s Agent Carter
Rubicon
The Prisoner (the Patrick McGoohan original)
Eli Stone
Galavant

i only deleted because i felt like it didn’t add much to the reply from @austinburns.bsky.social, which was already perfect 😅

the whole thing is great, but the announcer sending off the performer at the end is absolutely delightful

for me there is something about parasitic insects laying eggs that eat their way out that hits different than, say, a polar bear taking down a seal 😬

if ever a day needed Just Some Stuff …

my 5yo son hiked 3 miles (700ft elevation gain) under his own steam today, and we saw this millipede on the way up and on the way down

i hope it got to where it was headed

some altocumulus clouds peeking out from behind some cumulus clouds (though to be fair i am very bad at recognizing cloud types)

no wildlife except swarms of gnats but post-deluge clouds are nice

my reader's choice ballot for best 100 movies of 21st century:
arrival (2016)
drive (2011)
dunkirk (2017)
everything everywhere all at once (2022)
fruitvale station (2013)
the grand budapest hotel (2014)
the handmaiden (2016)
logan (2017)
mad max: fury road (2015)
spirited away (2002)

my problem is that there are so many phenomenal movies on my to-watch list that i have not yet to-watched

a chipmunk on a rock—Chip, or maybe Dale; hard to say without their distinctive and distinguishing outfits

this chipmunk stopped long enough to get photographed on today’s walk, during which my 5yo observed (unrelatedly), “walking is just standing on one foot and then the other really quickly”
