IMO we’ve lacked a player that the ball sticks to, that we can play off, for a long time. We’ve potentially got great runners all around him especially if he plays 10/SS. Wissa. Gordon, elanga even tino, Ramsey, Barnes should all benefit from the space he’ll create for them.

Yeah that’s why I said I think we could see j7 at lw “a bit more”. As in he wouldn’t play there every game, neither would Gordon or Barnes. I’m sure we wouldn’t play 424 or whatever every game. Just sharing some ideas on how to integrate 2 strikers before you barge in completely missing the point.

Think we see big Joe move to lw a bit more again with isak/hugo fluid 9/10, either can also switch to lw with Joe making a midfield 3 again. There’s so much flexibility. Elanga also can play across the 3. One of Barnes or Gordon starts to feel expendable.

They’ve spent £170m on 4 strikers none of whom are anywhere near as good or prolific as Alex Isak. We’ll be fine, plenty of options left and now one less PL competitor.

We wait for opportunities later in the window when they’ve blown their load, take their young players when they need to balance books or shop abroad where our wage structure is a huge upgrade still. Zero point going head to head with them, even if we win we will be overpaying fee and wages.

Pretty sure they could field a team of forwards. What are they doing? 😂
