I'm so glad I can finally read your reply!
It has a lot of potential for further discussion (not to mention the very great target article)!
BTW, my name is misspelled (it is Malinowska, not Malinkowska ;)

I recently added an entry on the @eenphilsci.bsky.social blog: a bit of my story from early international experiences to my current work on coherence and reasoning, and what it’s like building philosophy of science here in Central & Eastern Europe.

Four years of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
I argue that when we assess the health consequences of this war as a form of colonial and imperial aggression, we also need to look at what happens after displacement.

Publishing on racism against people racialised as Eastern Europeans and its impact on health is not easy. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who supported me throughout this process.

Racist billionaires backing eugenics projects: no surprise. After the Epstein files dropped, I wanted to check them for ties to the racist eugenics network. No time though – I’m writing about how it infiltrates academia and passes itself off as "science"😉

I’ve spent years researching racism and discrimination, including racism against people racialised as Eastern Europeans.
And, unfortunately, this case only confirms how easily violence and dehumanisation are tolerated when directed at certain groups.

NEW RESEARCH confirms:
Countering far-right messaging by repeating it mainstreams extremist ideas and amplifying extremist terminology cedes the framing of the issues to the right.
(I’ll add that social media “dunking” only serves to spread undesired content.)

I was actually going to write to you about this SI. I think you might find a few other articles interesting, as they address the use of racial categories in Germany:

And here’s the abstract:

The article appears in the special issue "National identities, biopolitics, and human diversity in contemporary European life sciences", edited by Andrea Zur Nieden, Nils Ellebrecht & Tino Plümecke and published in Behemoth ❤️

Why do drug labels keep reducing pharmacogenomic findings to just three groups: “White, Black, Asian”?
I explore why this is still happening. I also argue this practice has no epistemic value — and may mislead, posing real risks, e.g. for patients.
Oops!… I did it again 😉
My new article: "Oops!… you are doing it again: pharmacogenomics and the biologisation of ethnoracial categories on drug labels" is out! #philsci

I'm really appreciating the applied turn in philosophy of race over the past few years, toward examining concrete *institutional* effects of particular conceptions of race.
Here @malinowska.bsky.social showing off great glasses & talking about distortions in European health outcome research
Thank you so much for your kind feedback on my talk! I hope we’ll have the chance to continue the discussion in person soon (and that I’ll finally manage to publish an article on this topic one day 😅)!
