Their hair is one way to differentiate them www. Nothelferan members can tell them apart but outsiders get confused, a LOT, mostly confusing Nemo to Elmo.
Nemo would have people unexpectedly follow him around since they think he's Elmo. He's too lazy to explain himself, and just run away from them
The glowing blonde hair on their heads is a similar feature to the "star" eyes. Also unknown! Theories range from Mana Excess, Blessing, Curse (particularly from the Golden Sun, another mythological figure), or even a sign of Resurrection.
Elmo has his since birth, Nemo got it at a later age —
The "star" on both of their right eyes are uncommon features, it's just coincidental that they both possess it. Only Elmo can conceal it.
The nature of "star" eyes is unknown, but people often link it to an excess of Mana... though Nemo doesn't seem to be powerful wwwww (he barely fights) —
And Nemo is the opposite of him. He's lackadaisical at most but quite friendly (though he doesn't form attachments due to the nature of his job)
