Hegseth -- like the president -- just doesn't think the press should provide scrutiny. They want the propaganda Hegseth's old colleagues do at Fox. And they hope that's what Ellison seizing CNN will do to that network. They don't believe in the 1st amendment. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...

Karp always delivers, he can't help himself and rants openly about Palantir's bloodlust and war-profiteering. He's been doing this for years. Anyone who speaks seriously about Palantir should be shunned. They are what Karp says they are.

What stands out to me is the arrogance. The surefootedness that this was the correct thing to do despite no experience in government. The presumption that they were entitled to use their own uninformed judgement to cut funds to things that they don’t personally value www.404media.co/i-watched-6-...
I have watched 6 hours of a DOGE bro deposition. The whole thing, start to finish. It's a fascinating, and horrifying, look at the people who caused so much damage, didn't really achieve anything at all, while still being so sure they are right. Here's what they said: www.404media.co/i-watched-6-...

“Now, Grammarly has finally addressed the backlash — but not by apologizing, and not by walking the feature back. For now, it will graciously give us the chance to opt-out of something we didn’t know it was doing to begin with.”

Crap I forgot alt text: my large long-haired orange rescue cat Sam sitting in his soft-sided carrier that’s connected to a luggage cart on wheels. He’s laying on a camouflage fleece blanket and the top of the carrier is open but he’s just laying inside, not thrilled to be at the vet’s office.
We were running right on time, then Sam saw the carrier and a panicked chase ensued. 20 minutes late for his checkup & nail trim at the vet but we made it 🫠 he weighs 20.8 lbs, almost the same as last year.
Your long read for the week. We reviewed 20 years' worth of property records, permits, county council meeting minutes, assessor data, business records, land plats — and more — to track how a derelict Western Maryland farm became the site of an emerging ICE concentration camp.
lol, of course the ADL is claiming that saying "Operation Epstein Fury" is antisemitic. What a joke of an organization.

Thank you @caseynewton.bsky.social for shaming them into at least offering a paltry optout— although obviously that is not enough.
