man, i hate trying to learn new japanese words that are purely hiragana. as someone who's first thing after learning hiragana and katakana was RTK (learning 2200 kanji), i have nothing to lean on for these words. just have to memorize them as is. even mnemonics are more difficult for these.

now, for the last 4 or so days, its been all my review and lessons done for the day, and not deactivating. the workload is about 100 review a day. which i'm breaking up into morning and evening. and study in the morning. to that end, i've been also waking up an hour early to study before work.

getting back into the swing of japanese study, not just giving up for the day after the barest amount of mental resistance to the task. for the past few months its been: review 10 or so words, then pack it up for the day, deactivate the deck for the day to keep it from piling up.

I remember seeing an JP artist some time ago asking about why they got no engagement on bluesky compared to similarly popular or even less than popular western artists accounts on this platform. guess this explains it!

There are so many amazing Japanese artists on here, some who have been here since the very beginning, who don't get as many likes as they should because bsky is actively hiding their posts from everyone if they don't have English words in their posts! Please help JP artists by turning this off! 🙌
