I saw @joedewhurst.bsky.social with this on the table at PunchedCon and it looked incredible!
A bit jealous I didn't get a chance to try it, but all in good time!
This type of CDG where the rules and scope are fairly straightforward but 'the real game' is in the interaction of the players is my favourite. So perhaps I am biased but I enjoyed it.
This was a playtest for the new version coming from @nutspublishing.bsky.social so there were some changes.
A flavour of what I got up too at PunchedCon this past weekend.
It turned out to be very @gmtgames.bsky.social heavy!
Fred you are too kind, but I don't think I would make the cut.
.....as I haven't designed anything yet ๐
I am picturing... the Homo Ludens calendar; "Handsome Game Designers 2026" ๐
09.04.2025 06:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not sure as I didn't play myself. It looks great though!
@pierrevj.bsky.social might be able to tell you. I think he said this particular session went longer than ones he had played previously.
I love that you and Drew play historical/wargames together, I do the same with my brother.
When it can be difficult to find opponents for some of theese games, it's nice familied often share common interests and an opponent could be close by. Certainly was the way for me growing up.
Oh wow, this looks interesting.
Good luck with the testing today!
Great to see you are brining this back Uli. The new graphic design looks very nice, though I am a little sad the historical details seem to have been left off the cards. It would be nice to know who/what the illustrations are supposed to be.

Can't believe I missed this though! ๐

16.03.2025 19:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Day 2 at VanguardCon; Molly House gets its first run out. I also played Republic of Rome, (obvious I was so engrossed I forgot a picture). Alongside many other great games.

We missed you being here!
15.03.2025 21:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Kicked off VanguardCon with a lovely game of 1960 with @lukeevison.bsky.social other games being played; Plantagenet, Burning Banners, Kingdom of Heaven, No Peace without Spain etc.

Nice, an original copy! Pierre was trying to make a PnP at one pont.
Again I would be interested to hear how it went?
I thought this looked pretty neat, I would be interested to hear what you thought.
I guess my worry, is it an abstract resource exchanging pattern making game with added historical flavour?
Volko! I though I had no real interest in this topic, but after hearing your SDHistCon talk and seeing the art for this I am becoming sorely tempted ๐

Thanks Luke, I really enjoyed my play of it, looking forwards to trying the final thing.
Hopefully I will be adding Hell Raisers to the 2026 list!
I think Hubris may be my top most anticipated, but thanks for putting me onto Chicago '68.
Here is my list for the year ......it got a bit out of hand! ๐

I thought I should probably start off my BlueSky 'career' with something I do very well.
Getting excited for new boardgames! ๐
