Interestingly, I could only book a covid vaccine at my pharmacy as an add-on to a flu vaccine. Just a covid vaccine wasn't an option.

Which is fine for me, I want both. But doctors are handing out flu vaccines like candy this time of year so there could be instances of folks only wanting covid.

We keep hiring executives in San Francisco and flying them to Ontario to meet face-to-face every month while cutting our marketing budget. 🤦‍♀️

20 years ago I crossed the border with a friend who'd previously been denied entry to the US for speaking at a conference; I've never been able to cross without a secondary-level interview since.

We do use 1password, but I'd actually never heard of travel mode until this thread. And honestly, IDGAF about company data-it really is more about protecting me, and protecting the identities of trans friends who have to do cross border travel.

I thought I had to go for work this week, so I asked our IT dept to give me a phone to take instead of my personal one.

Surprisingly, I was the first person to make that request despite staff traveling to the US weekly.

Fortunately that trip got cancelled. 😅

Sadly, I'm more worried about Eastern Cuba.

Charities will show up in Jamaica and Westerners will donate millions of dollars to support them, matched by Western governments.

No one will help Cuba but Cuba.

I don't believe he's reversing the rental changes because of pushback, I think someone reminded him that the young, white males that make up a huge percentage of his base are all renters and he's risking losing their support when he eventually runs for PM.

Unfortunately, with his majority, it really doesn't matter. He can do whatever he wants.

I'd argue it's more than ok, we ~need~ fun right now. The world is a heavy place, and we need to keep space for rest and joy, otherwise what even is the point.

I’m an introvert.

It’s not that I don’t like people, I just value peace. I recharge in quiet, not crowds. I speak when it matters. I’m observant, not distant. I crave real connection, not constant attention. If I choose your company, it means everything.

The photographing itself doesn't bother me. Most countries I've been to over the last several years do this.

With the US gov't run by techno fascists, I'm more concerned about what they'll *do* with my likeness.

As a former small landlord, 100% this. I knew what I was getting into financially (maybe not emotionally lol) and I made a choice.

No investment has guaranteed returns and many carry a significant amount of risk.

My current pet peeve is people posting in the local FB group looking for handyman-type jobs and then never responding to messages. I am at a stage and income level in my life where I'm willing to throw money at my problems to make them go away, but I'm not jumping hoops—I'll just fix it myself ffs.
