Like most dogs, @smokeypup.bsky.social needed to find the perfect tree before he could do his thing. I took him for a long walk, but we just couldn't find one he liked. Just as the light was fading, we ended up back where we started. Turns out the perfect tree had been there all along.

My first attempt at a suspendable chest-only harness that fits my aesthetic. I had a lot of fun figuring out how to tie the lattice with two working ends rather than the usual four.

I had not tied someone with the intention that they escaped for quite a while. He got out of the first one in just a few minutes. The next day I had a point to prove and went a little overboard. The poor guy struggled for two hours and only got out because I undid a knot for him.
The poor pup did his best, but this one was rough. When he had had enough, the near instant relief he got when I simply slid his wrists off the bar generated the most incredible sigh. I couldn't help taking one more picture of the good boy before cuddling up beside him.
He didn't know that I was purposefully tying his wrists loose so that I would be able make his predicament worse by sliding his hands towards him.
He didn't know that his head would be attached to the bar so that as his muscles gave out his arms would be pulled farther back.

Once I know the position I want to put @smokeypup.bsky.social in, I will explore how to make it more stressful by testing it without rope. He has some idea what's coming, but I always hold a little back so that he doesn't quite know how bad it will be.

Enjoying my garden and the last of the sun with @smokeypup.bsky.social hanging around is a pretty nice way to end the day.
I think @smokeypup.bsky.social is part bat. After a brutal stress position and a less than friendly suspension from his chest and ankles, he wanted to be upside down as the sun went down.
He thought it was only going to be a mildly stressful position—right up until I secured the last rope. Then @smokeypup.bsky.social realized just how brutal this was. He barely lasted long enough for me to take a few photos. I almost feel bad for laughing at his underestimation while he suffered.
He does. I really like putting a nice harness on him because he always makes them look.
My third attempt at this harness was worn to our monthly pup event. I cleaned up the imperfections in the shoulder straps and spent a lot of time making the back neat and tidy.
I like to try a different armbinder every time I hogtie @smokeypup.bsky.social. This time, I managed to get his elbows pretty high.

The last stress position was too easy, so I got creative. This one was a serious stretch—and tight enough that he couldn’t shift to steal even a moment of relief.
His eyes tell me I was nowhere near mean enough with this one.
