In Slay the Princess the cursor hand changes depending on whether you're holding the knife and how you're holding it.

Also interestingly entire genres are excluded from stream safe mode (one because all the tracks are by that artist) but your sims can still listen to them. I guess the audio just doesn't play. Anyway I have stream safe mode on now so hopefully we won't have this problem going forward.

Tw*tch claimed I had so many instances of copyrighted audio it stopped automatically publishing my V0Ds. I checked and there were a bunch from The Sims 4, all by the same artist. That artist has a ton of tracks excluded from stream safe mode... NONE OF WHICH are the titles that got claimed / muted!

Tonight's stream was a lot of fun! We befriended a bunny, hugged some chickens (who all need names), and got our business started. We also have new possibilities to explore for Aidan. It looks really good at the size Bluesky shows on my desktop and even better in the smaller version of your post that it's showing me as I write this. I can see how some of the detail would be lost at emote size, though. Getting anything to look the way you want, that small, is very difficult.

I really need a social media account that allows for long-form text posts, this is ridiculous. TL;DR last night's stream was stressful. I'm gonna do stuff to make playing / sharing The Sims 4 less stressful. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND SUPPORT. It truly means the world to me. 12/12

As much as I like - and recommend - the Life & Death expansion, I need to be very careful with the parts that involve coping with death as in real life. It could be cathartic. It could backfire. Last night was right on the line. I needed to end stream abruptly. I hope my "farewell" was okay. 11/12

A format I've seen for ranking your performance giving classes or completing a job assignment - definitely not pressure anyone needs in such a personal and emotional context! So... as much as I like the Life & Death expansion... gamifying funerals goes too far. I'd much rather let sims cry. 10/12

I was trying to do something brand new to me in game, that's very stressful and hits close to home IRL, while tired from a long stream, and Astral picked that moment to encourage me to wrap up soon. I couldn't figure out how to do stuff I'd promised. The game imposed a time limit & checklist. 9/12

Then I really should have ended stream... probably before my elder sims died. Definitely before planning their funerals. I was freaking out because the chicken coup and barn disappeared, so my animals were homeless and the chickens were under attack by foxes. Don't make those items heirlooms! 8/12

Maybe I'll try streaming again (since y'all deserve a chance to see the beginning), allow for offline, but record it. This way I'll have any moments worth saving so I can [dramatic] Tell My Story [/dramatic] on YouTube. ::rolls eyes:: Unless you really want to see it all live - let me know! 7/12

But I want to share my love of The Sims (ironically, less love for The Sims 4 than previous games) and I think the Barnharts have the potential for an interesting story? I just wish I'd been recording from the beginning. So... do I start over? (Again?) On stream? Offline? Both? 6/12

I don't know if anyone's watching, if they're enjoying what I'm doing, if they want me to move things along or are happy to watch the chaos / my sim eat or sleep / etc. I guess I could ask for feedback... or just play as I would offline, and respond when people do chat. I'll look up cheats to fill needs because that's how I played Sims 3 and I want to save aspiration points for meaningful upgrades. Aging sims is less of an issue because Life & Death lets them continue as ghosts... indefinitely? I'm not sure. As for viewers... chat is often silent. 4/12

It felt impossible to get my sims to do what I wanted them to, and I think perhaps I was too goal-driven. So what if they don't do x today, they can come back tomorrow or next week or whatever. But I had a story to tell and a ticking clock: needs to fill, aging sims, viewers to entertain... 3/12

I usually max the volume on voices so we can hear and understand what's being said but, since as far as I'm aware Simlish doesn't translate meaningfully into any language, I should lower it. At gatherings there were too many voices too loud plus the chaos of sims being sims plus OMG Ghost! 2/12

Last night's stream was kind of a mess and I apologize for being so grumpy for so much of it. I accidentally started stream without updating the info and had to restart, then had a tech issue I'd never encountered before that, though it was solved quickly, left me more frazzled than I realized. 1/12

As someone with an overly sensitive sense of smell and allergies this seems analogous to "don't lick the science." "Don't sniff the history." Just... please. Keep museum exhibits, etc. Scents Optional.

I played for about an in-game week (I think) Both elders are happily pursuing their goals. Danica made the farm itself her business, additionally selling her own and her mother's creations - and hired her father as an employee! Aiden has begun his quest to restore Lady Ravendancer's lost tarot deck.

I created a new family in The Sims 4: Joyce and Raphael Barnhart have happily lived their entire married life on the same cottage farm. She cares for the animals while he gardens. They tried to raise their 2 children in the same traditions, but Danica wants her own business and Aiden is... Macabre.
