There was such a great vibe at the AAACS 2025 online conference on Friday. 2 conferences down and one to go. Looking forward to ISATT 2025 in my adopted hometown of Glasgow in July! #ISATT2025

Excited to be part of a symposium at the upcoming online AAACS conference in June! 4 papers over 3 conferences, in the space of 6 weeks. I will be living on coffee until early July, then probably crashing until Christmas... Worth it.

Absolutely made up to be presenting my research on the neoliberal higher education curriculum and the marginalisation of working class women through taught content at the upcoming Gender and Education Association conference. Come and say hi!

To all my peers involved in education, a beautiful reminder from John T. Warren (2011): you can "look to teaching as an act of friendship, an act of love that occurs in contexts of care and trust", as he so did. Important to remember with everything going on right now. Look out for each other.

Women's March 2025, Edinburgh. Our voices were heard, even if for an hour or so, and the weather was supportive. What do we want? Safe streets! When do we want it? Now!

I wholeheartedly agree there should be a radical change to assessment and critical thinking should be championed. But 'internationally competitive' is vague...I'm assuming it includes economic relevance in a world that promotes qualifications and not necessarily critical thinking? But I'm cynical.

Back in my home city of Cambridge for a flying visit. Only got out the car to grab a box of biscuits from the Co-Op (hence the bad pictures) and to stop by my grandparents. I'll come again soon for a proper reminisce. But for now, back up to our new stomping ground in Scotland we go! #cambridge

I've been to the library for my Christmas reading. I never thought my research would take me to the economics section though.... What has the economy got to do with the curriculum? Everything! Looking forward (sort of) to getting stuck in!

Thanks! It is ever evolving though and seems to never end. Throwing Marx and class discrimination in there next!

Leaving work the other day to find sun setting over campus. Something beautiful to put a smile on my face at the end of the day.
