It's rare that I have an extreme take on a player, but I'm gonna say it: Nico Paz is the next Kevin De Bruyne

Never done it before and they just look incredibly expensive, especially for tech that may not work as well in 4-6 years.
Thoughts?
Think all this is really important for a promoted side. Every game is different, and not every single one should be backs-to-the-wall stuff.

It's not just approaches, also different way Como build. Been games where they've prioritised central progression, others where they play long quite effectively
...meanwhile oop, been quite a few different attempts to defend. Seen Como deploy a 4-4-2 press that's quite man oriented, cutting pitch in two and making jumps. But also shifted to more of a 5-3-2, getting winger to track back as a FB. Seen him commit to all players jumping m2m...
28.07.2025 21:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Watching Como's entire season has reminded me what tactical flexibility actually speaks to. It's not just tweaks game to game. Cesc Fabregas has mixed between a range of different approaches. Looking to dominate possession, looking to build more incrementally, trying to create transitional moments..
28.07.2025 21:34 — 👍 8 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Their best creator was barely fit last season though, and Cherki isn't a case of not caring. Just use him in a front two, like Haaland. Saw this in the CWC

So Reed Richards, smartest man alive, his FIRST plan was to try and teleport the fckin EARTH. And his *second*, back-up plan, was to try and teleport one, big guy
Also, Rodri back. Squad strengthened with good signings (it seems). And not to mention, the best manager in the world at the club, who's won 4/5 last Premier League titles.
I don't really get why everyone is dunking on City, personally. No one around me even has them T2.
Man City picked up most points in league form January 1st onwards despite playing a game less than rivals. That alone for me nullifies the, "I don't think they've improved enough defensively" argument.
25.07.2025 13:37 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Actually would make the transfer window fun, because Rodrygo and Vini could be up for grabs

Parma are/were a nice side. Watching them draw 1-1 against Como last season. Decent build-up and pretty tight oop
22.07.2025 18:28 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Hard to tell! I'm personally keen to see Liverpool's pre-season games
21.07.2025 18:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0So, I think short-term, Ekitike helps take attention away from Salah, and long-term Liverpool see him as someone who can potentially become a complete forward.
21.07.2025 11:14 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Having that presence in the front line is going to take defenders away from Mo Salah, and as Slot showed last season: building an attack around Salah is a pretty good recipe for a Premier League title.
21.07.2025 11:14 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Obviously, he can score goals. Scored a bunch last season, albeit in a transitional side, by getting into good positions (and often creating them himself).
That said, I think Liverpool see the short-term advantage of Ekitike being his creative/dribbler side.
Ekitike is a superb dribbler, and someone you ideally want to double-up on. He's also pretty creative too, capable of playing that final pass. He's a 'ST', but not someone you park upfront as a No 9 to stay in the middle for crosses. You get him on the ball to make things happen.
21.07.2025 11:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I know there's a debate on Ekitke's goalscoring, finishing etc. Personally, I think he needs to improve a lot - and that's okay. No one is perfect. But more importantly, I also don't think that's what Liverpool are buying him for, short-term ✍️
