The current state of my floor under my consoles near my desk. I just grab whatever controller I need to use, most are hooked up. I usually prefer original controllers and don't like wireless controllers for retro consoles. I sometimes clean this mess up and I think now might be a good time.
It’s beautiful.

Sort of? It is not nearly as bad as its western reputation suggests. There's a great video about this topic from @transparency.bsky.social here: youtu.be/MfVuOKKd7vo?...
All that said, I prefer the NTSC-U version. The Japanese cover appeared to be my only option on this site. (Plus it's cute af.)
Just hook it to my veins!
And what I mean by this is they should be better than needing AI for dialogue. They code such incredibly complex games, yet they want to use AI.
Crazy that the company responsible for Romance of the Three Kingdoms — a game so complex that FAQ writers have trouble making guides of it and takes around ten hours to learn how to play it on a basic level — had to resort to AI.
Hold the hell up, this looks so much better!! Crazy they tossed this one.
I’m pretty sure people I know IRL were mailed that same notice last week. Fun that this stuff can just happen any time. Ugh
That modern HD remake of Prize Fighter, the FMV boxing game from Digital Pictures, came out last month. Totally flew under my radar!! Call me a prepared banned instrumental song by Link Wray, because I am ready to rumble.

Breaking full motion video Saturn news!!!!!
ONE OF US. ONE OF US.
It's The Muppet Show with our very special guest star Segata Sanshiro!
It's like when they have fire underwater in Spongebob.
Square shaped jewel cases for western Saturn games are now canon in RE.
New video on the Sega Saturn is live on YouTube! Even if you don't know much about the system, I hope you give at least one of these games a chance, as the Saturn has a lot of art that did not receive the recognition it deserved.

Thank you for pointing this out, that explains a lot. I am hopeful, since they have already released three patches for the demo this week alone. So they’re at least trying. Still, even if this nails controls, it’s so hard to match the majesty of playing Zwei on Saturn.
Great vid. The reticle has startup & release velocity which is why it feels floaty.
I used Open Joystick Display so that my inputs were on screen. When releasing a direction, the reticle will continue to move ~12-13 frames while the distance in each frame decreases. Try it yourself.
Panzer Dragoon I & II are really interesting examples of the difficulties of remakes - the abstraction of low-fidelity allows the game to trick your brain into seeing huge scale differences that "hi-fi" can't do without investing tons of resources & making huge changes (which these remakes can't do)
No notes. Well played.
I’m concerned about the last boss, lol
Its art direction was catered to Saturn hardware, so it belongs on Saturn. Any remake is an antithesis to the original vision. Though I think the biggest problem with this remake, other than input delay and bad hit detection, is it looks more than 10 years old. It's not maximizing modern hardware.
I’m whipping something up for today, talking about the demo. It still has many problems. Very good to see they are at least trying to take fan critique seriously. But yeah… :/
