Back from a little R&R in Lanzarote ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ for a running getaway ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I discovered some fantastic trail routes, several which were quite technical around Timanfaya National Park ๐ŸŒ‹ but every mile was hugely enjoyable.

And of course, I couldnโ€™t ignore Lanzaroteโ€™s unique wine culture ๐Ÿท

This was a superb trail run - raw volcanic landscapes, endless views, and legs definitely feeling it now!

Today was Nantwich 10km ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

This is a lovely race to do as itโ€™s pretty flat and was also my first race of 2026.
Went out with a sub-50 in mind so Iโ€™m pretty happy with an official 48.17 today, which is a reasonable benchmark for the year ahead.

If you are looking to shake up your interval runs, find those Strava segments with the weird names & use those for your speed and sprint work ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

You can always revisit them again to see if you have improved!

I pick the ones that are between around 50 seconds > 2.30mins ๐Ÿ‘

I'm certainly glad I made positive changes to my previous unhealthy lifestyle.

*I stuck to healthy unprocessed food choices in a calorie deficit & did plenty of exerciseโ€ฆ

For the first time in weeks, I actually ran without getting wet ๐Ÿ˜„

*I donโ€™t really mind running in the rain, but it definitely made a change, and it turned into a really enjoyable 5-mile tempo effort ๐Ÿ‘Œ
