It was a great pleasure and honor to kickstart the event!
A nice surprise while trying to warm up in the cold Amsterdam winter during lunch break.
Hum. The title & most of the text sounds like taking or supporting climate action implies a nonneutral stance when it's just making decisions with the best information we have. More than "backing the movement" or not, the text should probably focus on talking about it once you understood the problem
This program embraces real transdisciplinary education and is the education complement of the research-focused Polder Center (polder.center).
We spent a few years co-designing it with members from all over the university, external interested parties, and steered by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Institute for Advanced Study. A big thanks to all who contributed!
I am very proud of all our hard work: The new university-wide master's program, MSc Complex Systems and Policy, will start at the University of Amsterdam. tinyurl.com/MScCSPnews
Wrapped up an inspiring workshop by the SAEF group at QUT on governing the commons. Learned a lot about the Antarctic system and revisited fascinating topics taught by @peterbayer.bsky.social & Marion Hoffman. Huge thanks to Maria Kleshnina & Ilva Sporne for leading such a stimulating event!
I would like to be added. I'm an Assistant Professor in Computational Science at the University of Amsterdam
