In our recent paper (first-author Ellis van Can) we isolate functional co-activation through a leg-swinging task in healthy adults.

We've grown more and more interested in the role of fatigue in shaping locomotor behavior. Our latest paper points to a functional consequence of the increased physiological demand placed on calf muscles when operating at shorter lengths—namely accelerated fatigue.
