Last product order for my charity marathon and launch of the Tales from the Badger Den organized play program arrives today according to tracking. I may be down a DM, but all the things are arriving.

So as a life-long D&D geek as well as a sci-fi/fantasy geek, I want to be excited about the last season of Stranger Things, but seriously, the choice of music for the trailer was horrible. Did the Duffers never watch Highlander? Did the meaning of the song escape them? #whowantstoliveforever

My wife spent the weekend up north with my mother-in-law and grandson. She did all the cooking. As I'm making dinner tonight she thanked me for doing all the cooking because she said it suuuucks. :)

Zombie Joe Lore #42: The Last Dragon was one of my favorite 80's era martial arts movies.

Fun fact. Not only did the Kundalini Equation come out the same year that The Last Dragon was released, but - as it was very pre-internet - I was unaware that Stephen Barnes was a person of color until much later when I was preparing for a convention he was attending.

Add a wandering monster. Give out a healing potion. Give a reroll to a player. Give a reroll to the DM.

Let's start with The Kundalini Equation by Stephen Barnes. The Devil's Wake by Barnes and Tananarive Due (and the 1st book I wrote a blurb for) and Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter.

I know I can come up with more once I sit down and think about it.

We will be doing it here in Madison on November 8th and 9th. Kicking off our public playtest of Tales From The Badger Den.

Fun fact. She didn't find one that matched her druid dice, so she's using one of mine as a placeholder until Gamehole Con where she's going to do a deep dive in the dice vendors in the vendor hall.

Can confirm. We had a lovely discussion about the convention we were at (Romantic Times - Columbus) vs. something like GenCon over lunch when a couple of friends brought him with for lunch after a panel. One of the many excellent discussions that were had that weekend.

Sunday is the day of rest and miracles. @twentysidedtavern.bsky.social did something I couldn't do in 37 years. My wife asked to pick up her own players handbook and dice set so she can start playing D&D. It's a 20 sided miracle!

Will have more to say later, but went to opening night of @twentysidedtavern.bsky.social and my wife left with her first piece of D&D clothing and may actually try D&D since her first attempt 35 years ago.
