Definitely one of the best-looking #F1 cars of all time. Polychromatic green with flame-orange nose. Hard to beat. Graham Hill saysat perfectly in the car, too. Not too high, not too low. Magic.

#OnThisDay in ’64 Graham Hill (BRM; pic) won #USGP at Watkins Glen - the 2nd of his 3 consecutive #F1 GP wins there. 2nd was John Surtees (NART Ferrari) & 3rd was Jo Siffert (Rob Walker Brabham).

#OnThisDay in ’67 Jim Clark won the #DutchGP. So what, you may ask? After all, he’d won it 3 times before. True, he had, but this win was special, for it was the first #F1 GP win for the Cosworth DFV V8 engine. It would win 154 more. Pic: Clark, Lotus 49, DFV, Zandvoort.

...and, what's more, he drove to Zandvoort from Paris that weekend in his gorgeous, yellow, Lotus Elan S3 Coupé. He hadn't sat in the new 49 before practice: all the testing was done in the UK by Graham Hill.
