This is a really bleak and dark book. It goes really fast, maybe a bit too fast and superficial to really get to know the characters well, but yeah how much can you write about a long walk like that. Bit unbelievable but good

An amazing ensemble cast and well acted, but... omg so many elements shoved together, it's convoluted to the brim. The tone doesn't fit what is being said to evoke thought or feelings. It's sad to see a director I like make such a dud like this, frustrating.

It's long and my milennial, social media mind had trouble staying focused hah, but it was incredible suspenseful and shocking in parts. Definitely see why it was so influencial on any thriller that came after it.

Better than the generic Abbot and Costello movie, because the Costello character actually gets a decent good ending, which is rare. It's hard not to feel sympathy for all his characters because he's such a charming dimwit all the time x3

Still have the tendency to just completely shut down anything, psychologically, whenever there's a whiff of me getting potentially hurt emotionally. I can't get rid of this defense mechanism and it's so detrimental to any kind of improvement.

I love Guillermo del Toro and I just like this little niche corner his film making is in. This was so delightfully gothic, haven't cringed at images in a movie in a long time before, so it is a bit shocking in places. Juuuust misses that one spark for 9/10.

I haven't seen this since I was a teenager, only remembered fragments. With more movies down my belt now, it struck me how Lynchian this feels. And how it messes with your mind. I keep trying to figure it out and my mind gets lost, just like Darko's. Good stuff!
