And further advice:

get a pair of isotoner compression gloves. The kind with the visible stitching so you can see the planes of each finger better.

Need to draw claws? Get a cheap pair of press on nails and use sticky tack or tape and slap those bad boys on your nails.

If I have one tiny bit of advice for artists:

Trace custom reference pictures of your hands. It's okay. Just trace it. You don't have to be the master of hands. Stop struggling with that one pose for an hour and be kind to yourself. You'll learn and improve as you do it too.
