It’s PJs day at school which my 9 yo usually loves but today he’s not participating because he’s excited to wear his new Ernie Banks jersey.

Traveling is the best but packing (and unpacking) are the WORST.

When I choose the option to have a big delivery come on the same day in fewer boxes, I should not open my front door to find *nine* small separate packages 🙄

As a parent, if you don’t have two (or more) boys then you are living an incredibly different life than those of us who do. I say this with love, and I wouldn’t have it any other way, but wow am I tired and overestimated often.

February is already better than January because I am going to be watching live baseball in February

People who love winter: explain yourselves

Thanks! He had no interest in baseball (or sports in general) until about 6 months ago - which was fine, of course! - but suddenly he got into it and it’s been so fun enjoying it with him ♥️

My 9 year old wants an Ernie Banks jersey. He’s the coolest kid I know.

And make sure they’re not expired / won’t expire in the next 6 months. Don’t trap yourself here because of paperwork if the country continues to implode.

Things my children will not be doing on snow days: remote learning. A day playing outside with each other in the snow and making memories together is infinitely more beneficial to their growth and development than whatever tomorrow’s school lessons are.

If you have little ones and you haven’t gotten a passport for them yet, you probably should. Hard not to be an alarmist in these times.

Never in my life did I think I would legitimately question moving out of the country but… here we are.

Related, I randomly developed rosacea when I was pregnant with my first kid… he turns 10 years old this summer and I still have it. Pregnancy is weird!

I can’t tell if I have finally found a face product that helps my rosacea or if I’m just super pale because it’s winter.
