This is one of the fun bugs that just gets weirder the more you know about programming.
This is most likely a mixup between signed and unsigned 32bit integers, making it render a very small negative number as a very large positive number in the 4-billions.
This floppy is like the TARDIS. It might look like a normal 1.2mb floppy, but apparently it has 4 gigs of bad sectors on it!
