Fourteen years ago, when the first volume was prepared and published, I should have translated them from the English editions... Then I compared them with the originals, out of caution, and decided to translate them—slowly and with a lot of effort and hard work—from Polish.

It's not cold here, but it's my worst winter ever. Maybe it's because I'm approaching sixty, but now I feel sick if the temperature in the house drops below 16°C. Now I have fuel for the portable stove, and things are better.
