West Ham host a relentless Chelsea in Dagenham. The women's side of London has never been claret and blue, and though form is not in their favour, will bragging rights tempt them?

The linear championship took a break this weekend but the Round Robin continued. West Ham lost their third in a row to Crystal Palace, and Fulham capitalise on Brentford's iffy form.

And Palace remaining the Unofficial England champs! London's doing okay.

Oh yes, how could we forget that Chelsea also remains the Unofficial World Champion too!

And in the women's edition we saw Arsenal beat West Ham 5-1 on Friday evening.

Not only did #Chelsea retain their lineal title against #Brentford, but it all goes towards the round robin competition alongside the #Spurs 3-0 victory over #WestHam.

6 of the 7 teams have now played, but #Arsenal won't play until early October when they face the Hammers.

#Chelsea keep the title, extending their run to 3 with a 2-2 draw against #Brentford. Not the win Chelsea wanted but a draw is as good as a win when you hold a linear championship!

It's a little wait for the next meet when the title heads north to Tottenham on the 1st of November.

This weekend saw the kick-off of a new WSL season, and also a couple of games which contributed to the London Linear Women's Round Robin. Arsenal take the spotlight with a 4-1 victory of newcomers London City Lionesses with Spurs close behind with a one-goal win over the Hammers.

Chelsea are taking a sizable lead in the London Round Robin but three of the teams are yet to play. When we return after the international break, not only do we have Brentford vs Chelsea but also West Ham vs Tottenham.

Also on these same days, Arsenal played Tottenham in a double header. At this point in time, Arsenal were south of the river so not as close as it is these days!

The game's keep on coming as Chelsea will visit Brentford in their first game after the international break.

Brentford have only hosted Chelsea once in the Linear Champs. and lost that in a one-goal game in 2021. Brentford do have a good record, however - 26 wins in 43 matches!

Completely forgetting to post yesterday, I'm sure you are aware that @chelseafcn.bsky.social defended the title in a 2-0 home win against @fulhamfc.com! This brings their total wins in the London Linear Championship to a round 160, now only 15 behind 2nd-placed Spurs.

This victory also sees Chelsea hold the London Linear title for both the men's and women's championships. London is blue, for now!

A 5-1 trouncing from Chelsea takes the title from West Ham! Now both unofficial champions on a global and local level, they face Fulham in a weeks time.

It's worth noting that Chelsea have not held the men's title since April 2022, and even then it was only in their hands for 3 days. This has to be a win for the current official and unofficial world champs, right?
