The barriers to UBI are 100% political. It's good economic policy, it's cheaper than mitigating the results of poverty, it's better by almost every measurable metric than any means tested support. But it completely shifts the balance of power from owners to workers.

When we tried to unionize, they moved their moderation to the Philippines.
This project is fascinating to me—an excellent book and it began with an open call, not an exclusive curation mandate. A grab bag of tons of writers from different backgrounds who saw the call and responded with whatever insight was meaningful to them. And it works! I like the essay I wrote for it.

So much this. I'm currently making a thing in Godot and I love the engine but my flow for implementing narrative is ridiculous:
I write in Scrivener, then put it in a spreadsheet. I created a simple CSV parser that then imports the spreadsheet into Godot.
It's so inefficient.
