For both good philosophy and good teachers, I recommend university.aynrand.org.
Philosophy is so tremendously useful for every aspect of human life. The way in which studying philosophy has enriched my life is impossible to describe.
This example of an epistemological issue having direct application to daily life and mental health is only one example.
As someone who has suffered from anxiety in the past, I wish I had read this at that point, just as succinctly put. It wouldβve made an enormous difference. Never heard a therapist put it this way. (And this is not even a book on psychology, but on epistemology!)

I keep coming back to these pages from Harry Binswangerβs book βHow We Know.β Thereβs a lot of useful applications for what HB says hereβ one of them is if you place it in the context of anxiety disorders, which detach your thoughts from reality.

In any case, what are the chances of Bluesky developing an engaged and vibrant (and hopefully less vitriolic) community like TW?
