THEY ARE DEPORTING TODDLER CITIZENS AND ARRESTING JUDGES.

THEY ARE DISAPPEARING STUDENTS AND HAIRDRESSERS AND INVESTIGATING THEIR POLITICAL ENEMIES.

THEY ARE RAIDING COAST GUARD SPOUSES TO DETAIN THEIR SPOUSES AND THREATENING TO PROSECUTE MEDICAL JOURNALS.

AND THEY'RE BRINGING BACK MEASLES.

ICE can enter anyone’s home, and abduct and deport them to a foreign prison indefinitely because the DOJ says they can ignore the 4th, 5th and 15th amendments.

If there’s no due process or protections against illegal search and seizures, none of us are safe.

This is the issue I have with leftists. They want to be class reductionists and the US is a racialized system.

Andry did the right thing:
- Never committed a crime.
- Fled his home when persecuted for being LGBTQ & refusing to give in to an authoritarian regime.
- Sought asylum through a legal pathway.
- Found us to represent him in court.

So, why did the Trump admin forcibly remove him?

He had tattoos.

Gonna keep saying this: In the 1840s, Southerners insisted that they could kidnap any person they alleged was a slave without any state or federal process. This turned even minimal process into resistance and raised the salience of the issue, which radicalized a bunch of people against slavery.

This is the text of the email just sent to hundreds of international students telling them that their visas have been revoked due to activism or social media posts.

The biggest reason government officials aren't giving any specifics about the criteria by which these arrests and deportations are selected, is that the criteria is "pro-Israel think-tanks and advocacy organizations created lists of troublesome individuals and gave them to us."

Hundreds of international students have just received an email telling them their visas have been revoked.

The ‘justification’ is campus activism or social media posts.

Masked officers in Tufts student arrest raise fears among immigrants and bystanders Federal agents have been filmed wearing masks while making arrests in public. When is it legal for police and the public to conceal their faces in an age of digital facial recognition and doxxing?

"Persons being deported may be sent to countries other than their countries of origin"

The implied threat is that the US Government will kidnap students and enslave them in El Salvador

I put on RoboCop again and realized that I find it increasingly less funny the older I get because of how accurately it predicted where America was going. What I’m fixing on tonight is how the corporation that runs the police made a certain executive immune to RoboCop’s enforcement ability.

AOC: What they like to call as radical, I believe is common sense.

I believe that when a person gets sick, they shouldn’t go bankrupt in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. Common sense

I believe that a minimum wage should cover the minimum cost to live. Common sense...

Nobody should have access to you 24/7/365. Folks are posting apologies for not being on Bluesky that day and beloved, you don't have to apologize for having a LIFE in 3D. Our irl families and friends are more important than being plugged in all the time.

Being a historian, people ask me if I think the US is living through Germany 1933.

I answer no, analogies are always imperfect but to me it feels more like Russia 1999: a blatant theft of state assets and liberals in a fugue state, refusing to believe the arc of progress is bending against them.

I owe an apology to all James Bond movies. I mocked them for having completely unrealistic, cartoonish villains that simply weren't believable.

2025 has made it impossible to levy that criticism anymore.

Super great that one of the major funding bodies that supports my physics research is now officially in opposition to me being the one to do it.

Many have asked how it could cost $17.5 million to confine just over 100 unhoused people to a warehouse for 90 days.

The answer? The company running the facility got a no-bid contract and has political ties to Louisiana governor Jeff Landry—who invoked emergency powers to detain these men and women

Again: every time someone says DEI say “you mean civil rights?” Every time someone says they are against woke reply “oh so you’re a segregationist!”

Words have meaning! We have to make plain what is being torn away from us!!

I have seen people get thrown face-down onto a hard floor for failing to follow a judge's orders.

I have seen people sent to Rikers Island for refusing to follow a judge's order.

Courts have plenty of hard power. But they only have practice using it against poor people.

How a Canadian scientist and a venomous lizard helped pave the way for Ozempic - National | Globalnews.ca In 1984, Dr. Daniel Drucker, an endocrinologist from the University of Toronto, discovered a hormone that helped pave the way for popular diabetes drugs such as Ozempic.

This is the most relevant article to NIH and research cuts I’ve seen.

Imagine if this was today , how many people would be saying “Why are we studying Gila Monsters and their impact on diabetes ? That’s wasted money !”
