the status quo is supported by people with resources believing that the only responsible way to help the β€œless fortunate” is to give to the appropriate organization that redistributes it to the worthy.

our system was built to fail the people in the moment we are inβ€”to protect systems of oppression.

Arizona GOP Lawmaker Pushes Felony Ban On Kids At Drag Shows New Arizona bill would criminalize exposing minors to drag shows.

A new Arizona bill gives cops the power to arrest parents who let their children watch a drag show.

A violation of HB2589 could result in a felony charge with up to three years in prison.

I want motherfuckers to understand, if KOSA passes and Section 230 gets repealed, this will be the norm for online existence, these people will determine what websites can exist, can accounts in social media can exist.

Think about and understand what this shit is so important to fight against.

'The UK war on VPNs is an embarrassment' – backlash grows over proposed VPN age-checks Critics are warning against proposals to restrict VPN access β€” but will the plans actually become law?

The failure of age-verification laws is now turning into a War on VPNs. The British government and a number of US states are now proposing that VPNs be banned entirely, or only accessible to those who have surrendered to facial scans, ID check and other identity verification.

therefore, doing your part to pressure your reps to defend internet speech is one (of many) ways to help!

Ok I found out KOSA has gained an another cosponsor which brings the total to 75 but thankfully it's not Cruz/Cantwell.

Marsha Blackburn has gone full blown Trump simp to get help to pass KOSA and the Trump America Al act but so far "crickets" plus I have doubts this will succeed especially when Blumenthal tried to get Elon Musk to help push KOSA through in late 2024 and of course that failed too.

Even if it goes through the Senate somehow the House will be a completely different story due to them knowing who is pulling the strings to push KOSA through Congress through and Bilikaris/Guthrie have indicated that the Senate KOSA will not get through unless "duty of care" is removed.

Of course no surprise the "advocates" want the duty of care included and they want KOSA to be strengthened where it can't be knocked down in court which is laughable considering the Senate version would get nuked in court just like the California AADC did a few years ago.

Plus add in that Trump is sundowning real bad doing crazy and reckless crap which is costing
Blumenthal/Blackburn valuable time and trying to ram it through considering what's happened in the last few weeks will not end well for them if they pull the censorship bs.

I doubt section 230 will go anywhere thanks to Wyden and plus Congress doesn't seem to be interested at all but the "advocates" along with the grifting author of "the anxious generation" who's responsible for Australia's and possibly Britain/France's social media ban aka Jonathan Haidt are going to use everything they got to push the censorship bills through.

I have doubts their plans will succeed and of course they have made many, many mistakes the last few years due to their desperation and sheer arrogance due to not realizing that censorship is unpopular and the unpopularity is growing by the day especially due to certain British dipshits like Beeban Kidron along with grifting US types like Jonathan Haidt and Laila Mickelwait from Exodus Cry.

We will survive this moral panic crap just like the "advocates" tried with movies, tv, video game, social media and they have failed over and over again with each generation and I expect the same with social media.

And part of that roadblock in the Senate happens to be Majority Leader Thune, who seems to be very reluctant in even bringing KOSMA or Hawley's bill that shan't named onto the floor at all

Edit: Which says a lot considering how KOSMA is practically toothless and Hawley's bill would be a PR layup for the Senate

I write to you today to STRONGLY OPPOSE House Bill 2112 (2026) and urge you to vote against this measure in your assembly. While I appreciate the impetus behind the Bill, it will not accomplish its goals and will only serve to criminalize speech which is protected by the United States Constitution.

Firstly, and foremost, it is the responsibility of parents to police the actions of their children, to prevent them from accessing objectionable content online, and protect them from harm. This is a PARENTING PROBLEM and nearly every internet enabled hardware device comes with built-in content controls ("Parental Controls") designed to accomplish this level of content filtering and control. The legislature should not be imposing regulation on private individualsβ€”the adults legally accessing the "objectionable content" defined in HB2112β€”to address a parenting problem. Encourage parents to be more involved and engaged in their children's lives, to employ the tools available to them, and to restrict access to devices and internet access inappropriate for their children.

Secondly, imposing compliance with age verification software on all Internet sites that display images defined within the Bill is a fundamental invasion of privacy. While Section 2.2 states that identifying information may not be retained, that simply isn't practical and, if audited by the State, presents logistical challenges for said verifiers. The verification process would also create a "paper trail" through computer log data with which the State could potentially link verification queries with individuals and sites, building profiles on individuals, which is inappropriate and grotesque!

Thirdly, Section 1.7(c) of the Bill is ambiguous and subjective, without exception for amateur expression. Who is to say what works of art, by which artists, is of merit? Who will be the arbiter of "serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value"? This is not a sufficient definition of acceptability. It's dangerous, McCarthy-esque language.Β

Look, I'm sure you're getting a lot of these messages right now, and I appreciate that your staff is busy and possibly overwhelmed with work. This is a bad bill that will not accomplish its objectives of making the internet safer for children. The reality is that the internet is not a safe place for children to spend time unsupervised and without content restrictions. Parents need to use the tools available to themβ€”on their children's devices, laptops, home wifi routers, etc.β€”to make the content restrictions necessary to protect their children as they see fit. It is not the place of the Legislature to impose mass content restriction on everyone "for the children" when the solution is far simpler and already exists.

I sincerely urge you to vote against this bill.

Thank you for your service to your communities and the State of Washington.

Do you live in Washington State?

I need you to do two things:

1) Go here (app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?...) & read HB 2112.
2) Go here (app.leg.wa.gov/pbc/bill/2112) & leave a comment urging your representatives to vote AGAINST the bill.

We’ve been speaking out against KOSA since it was introduced in 2022 by Marsha Blackburn, a bigot and outspoken advocate for censoring trans people off the internet in effort to β€œprotect children from the transgender in this culture.” KOSA has ALWAYS been about censorship and suppression.

A picture of art advice:

Don't worry about whether your art is perfect. Instead, ask yourself this:

Did you enjoy creating it?

Does it feel meaningful?

Does it please your inner goblin?

Is it shiny, stinky, or sharp?

Could you trade it for a rusty sword or some slightly used meat?

Would it make good bait for a nasty trap? Something with a big spikes or a log that swings down and makes your enemy go squish?

Did you learn something you can use to make your next artwork even better?

That's how good artists become great.
