One reason I regard the Reader + other regional pubs/crits as guiding lights is, as musickers, they hear what's going on locally before anyone else, which young/unestablished artist to consider, and the listing is the natural first piece of coverage, an introduction and an invitation. #LoveThisJob

Absolutely true about @dadastrain.bsky.social, and in fact I make a point of linking and x-reffing Piotr, Jim Macnie, and a couple of others every single week. It’s the same idea as having six or more listings writers and editors at Time Out… no one can know or do it all alone.
