They made them take down the videos because they would cause "reputational damage" to people like this young man, Nathan Cavanuagh, so definitely don't post this all over the internet with the name Nathan Cavanaugh attached, or this guy might suffer reputational damage. This guy, Nathan Cavanaugh.
All the kids were throwing snowballs at the bus stop this morning! My kid asked if he can ski down the street when he gets home, so I hope it sticks around at least until after school ❄️
My kid never really connected with Dogman, but loved the creativity of Cat Kid Comic Club. And it models healthy family relationships in a really sweet way.
My kid has enjoyed Catstronauts, Cat Kid Comic Club, First Cat in Space Ate Pizza series. There's also Diary of a Wimpy Kid, which I don't love bc they seem to encourage some not great behavior. But kids love them, and they're a good step between graphics and text if you're at that stage.
I started with Boones Farm Strawberry Hill and stepped up to jungle juice. Less gut rot.
They do love cooking themselves! My cats love sleeping on the receiver, so much so that we had to block it with a toy dinosaur (that they could totally move, but he's SCARY)
I tried this as a young RN in 2011, and I regret to say that it did not work. After trying to sleep on an Oktoberfest Express bus, I still had to pull my 12 hour shift starting at 0700.
The nap I took at my lunchtime in the clean linen room was all of the sleep cycles in 30 minutes.
This is Rodney Taylor, a disabled double amputee who’s been imprisoned by ICE for a year.
He was about to get new prosthetic legs when he was kidnapped… and they won’t let him have them.
His health is declining & there’s been almost no media coverage.
No protests. No noise.
Idaho Spuds will always make me think of my dad. And Aplets and Cotlets are the candy of my childhood. As a kid, I always thought that they were the same thing as Turkish Delight and couldn't fathom why Edward would want it so much!
The judge is also stating that South Korean society as a whole has suffered immeasurable damage due to Yoon's insurrection, a cost that the entire nation must now bear.
JAGs, like everyone in the military, have a service obligation. These can be as short as 1 year, but junior JAG officers often have longer obligations bc they owe time for their education. They can't quit. They can try for some sort of discharge, but they can't resign until their obligation is up.
JAGs can't just quit, that's not how military service works.
My dad tried to teach me on our old Volvo, and I got stuck at a light. After a light or two and some honking, I got out of the driver's seat crying, and my dad took over, super red-faced and angry.
After that, driver's Ed at the high school with science teacher Mr. Damm.
Wow.
Extremely grim how many of those schools we have established relationships and programs with. Cornell offers free graduate programs for military nurses!

Both Country Roads and Sweet Caroline are in regular rotation in any German fest tent, but even more so at Oktoberfest!

Elon must really be the worst hang
Some of my very favorite soldiers have been not super smart. But they were hard workers and always tried to do the right thing!
That is madness, I'm pretty well read up on obesity meds and I'd never heard of those either! Dangerous and impossible to find, the perfect barrier to care from a corporate perspective
It looks like it would though, maybe you just need a larger dose
To be fair, there is no way to look good in MILES gear
Also, I did not think we were using MILES anymore
The clip is from the movie Warfare.
I like Breck but I'll take Austria over Colorado any day. Ski huttes. Chair lifts with heated seats and bubbles, or a gondola. Free transportation around most ski areas! Better beer, good food, and better value.
Just want to plug the excellent "Hooligans of Kandahar" as being as a spot on depiction of the OEF/OIF deployment experience, dysentery and all @jkass99.bsky.social
My friend @charlotteclymer.bsky.social has written about Mark Kelly’s distinguished military career. This is not to be missed. open.substack.com/pub/charlott...
This is amazing! Thanks
I hope things get better for you and you're able to find something positive. A lot of folks are struggling to find some light in this tough year. I've followed you since the Bad Place and have always enjoyed your posts, and wish nothing but the best for you.
