It's funny seeing these kinds of name changes, one of my favorites being Samuel Goldwyn: Born Szmuel Gelbfisz, then angliscizing to Samuel Goldfish, then changing the last name to Goldwyn after his studio which he co-founded and named as a portmanteau between him and the Selwyn brothers.
