yeah I enjoyed the trainer system, I can definitely see it as something that makes repeat playthroughs interesting. I wish the game had had a couple of secret optional bosses, though

Finished Breath of Fire III (A PS1 Capcom RPG from 1997)
I really liked it, it had some great set pieces and characters - I loved Momo and Honey - but also the story was a little light and vague, I'd definitely say I preferred BoFIV overall.

Vincent Van De Peer was named after my friend who came up with the name 'Grimoire' for Detective Grimoire. (It wasn't totally out of the blue, we'd both recently played Dirge of Cerberus, and Vincent's father in that game is called Grimoire Valentine.)
