I'll take it! I was thinking more along the lines of middle-aged Ged (from the Earthsea cycle), but it might be a bit too grimdark for that hahaha. I should do some Abercrombie inspired stuff though, maybe a bunch of northmen or something

Some details, still tweaking brushes but I love the surface quality you can get (semi) organically

Been playing around with the charcoal brushes in Rebelle today.

Not to be confused with "Les Ténébreux Troubadours", whole different metal subgenre altogether 😆

They go by "Nábrók" (for now), they're currently looking for a bass player.

I use a simple watercolor brush, maximum opacity an very little water (1 and maybe 3 tops when I want it to blend "wet on wet"). I use an oil brush here and there when I want to cover the paper grain a bit (very little impasto though, otherwise it starts looking ugly fast).

Now that the weather is getting warmer there's a whirlwind of lizard activity outside. We piled up some branches in the back and inadvertently made a 5-star resort for the little fellas - it's so fun to watch them! 💛

Another quick Rebelle test, coloring a pen & ink drawing. This is really my main interest for this stuff and it works really well so I'm happy.

Painting directly over ink requires a very clean drawing and my essential tremors and I just gotta have tons of white-out 😅
