03.09.2025 12:00 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Simon, I am so sorry for your loss.
05.05.2025 14:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Took my daughter gliding at the weekend. Love being able to share this with my family.#FlightDeckMonday
14.04.2025 12:40 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Looks a bit like Stansted.
11.04.2025 12:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Should have saved this for #flightdeckmonday !
03.03.2025 14:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dadβs old radio (my dad used to have that exact radio, tuned to BBC Radio Cumbria. We didnβt keep it after he died. Thank you for an unexpected wave of memories)
03.03.2025 12:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs beginning to feel like spring when you manage your first soaring flight of the yearβ¦
02.03.2025 18:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Great to see you over here. Loved yours and Nomadicβs content on other platforms. I just fly gliders (sailplanes) here in the UK but interested in all aviation. The offer of a glider flight stands! My son is currently studying a pre apprenticeship in aeronautical engineering.
02.03.2025 08:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Safe trip. Do you think you can convince Bob to come over here from the dark side?
02.03.2025 08:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hmm, now I feel old because I am on Facebook. Are you due in St Athan today?
02.03.2025 08:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Tim, the importance of true family farms cannot be underestimated, but it must be possible to protect these families and mitigate against IHT whilst also discouraging the very rich from buying farms simply to dodge IHT?
18.02.2025 10:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well, if you would like to, I would be happy to take you. If you are in England for a few days, about an hour train ride from London.
18.12.2024 20:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0EGSY makes me think of the Kingsman films!
Steve, have you ever done any glider flying?
Will this trip be making an appearance on Cockpit Casual?
13.12.2024 07:52 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Here is my Slingsby Skylark 2, rescued from a barn where she spent 20 years and was going to be cut up and scrapped. Hopefully she will fly again next year.
30.11.2024 23:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks! I think thatβs the problem, not much chance to practice. I did some training but never got round to the exam and we donβt need a license for the gliding frequencies currently.
Anyway, if you ever fancy a flight in a gliderβ¦
That reminds me, really need to get my FRTOL flying the glider is the easy bit, talking on the radio, now that is scary.
27.11.2024 23:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Interesting! And Hi to you too, nice here isnβt it, donβt have to plough through loads of angry stuff to interact with interesting people.
19.11.2024 12:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0What is that?
19.11.2024 11:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The 737-200 reminds me of package holidays as a child in the 70s flying with the likes of Britannia, Dan Air or Orion (anyone remember them?) Always used to visit the flight deck in flight.
