When I read a book, I will write down words that I don't use as a way to remember and use them.

Improvement is always valuable, but agents don’t reject solely based on quality. They work on commission & can only take on what they believe will sell, & with the volume of submissions they get, they can’t say yes to everything. It's often about capacity, timing, or market trends—not just craft.

Writers, here’s the truth: rejection isn’t the end. Sometimes it’s just the sign to self-publish!

Rejections are generic. Most agents don't want to take risks on a new author or on a book they may not know how to promote. Also, getting represented by an agent doesn't mean you'll get published. I'd rather not waste more time on the process.
