theo (pookie) has been sleeping for a solid 4 hours. she's like a baby. that doesn't happen. and now i'm worried what that will mean when she does wake up and it's roughly 1 am.

Last night I had an idea out of nowhere for what is quite possibly the silliest stupidest and yet best original comic idea I have ever had.

So I had a general with a dep head at a major streamer. First time that's happened. He 1. told me he was really impressed by my sample. 2. Pivoted the convo from staffing to development and wanted to know my interest in developing. And 3. later called me a "bonafide idea machine."

I spent about two months trying to slowly build a tik tok for promotion and stuff and it was working but then someone hacked it and now it's gone. is this my sign to never get hip with the times or what

Also worth pointing out that as always, staffing is my priority. I'm a lower level and while my experience developing/pitching/etc is moving quite a bit, at the end of the day what I want most is to be in a room, around other writers, learning and making stuff.

And worth pointing out for those with less experience (like me kinda) that the key here was having things that were ready. Pitches ready, 2 pagers ready, bibles, scripts, things people can read and can be given the moment they're interested. He liked 2 loglines and has 2 two pagers now.

This is an absolutely shameless brag honestly. I'm not even going to pretend it isn't. It felt like a win. I really needed a win. It felt really good to feel seen and respected. Gave him all 5 of my development project loglines. We're staying in touch. It was awesome.
