I think many people rely too much on generalization and categorization. They like to put labels on things (and people) then pretend that the labels are correct in some absolute sense.

But you’re not helping. Why is that?

You reach down, you flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can’t, not without your help.

You’re in a desert walking along in the sand when all of the sudden you look down, and you see a tortoise. It’s crawling toward you.

Fourth, why is it that some people immediately jumped to the conclusion that the shooter of Charlie Kirk must have been from the left, when statistics suggested it wouldn’t be because those shooters are almost always far right?

Third, why is it that our government reacts more Intensely when a conservative personality speaker is killed than when a member of Congress (a Democrat) is killed?

Second, who celebrates when our military blows up a vessel that is merely suspected of carrying drugs, killing everyone aboard?

First, there’s more to the US population than “left” and “right” and even within those groups there is a diversity of opinions. I see most “left” leaning posts saying things like “no one deserves to be shot.”

Do you believe it’s true that the left celebrates death (referring to Charlie Kirk) while the right does not? I’ve read this claim on posts by one of my Facebook contacts. I don’t believe this is a correct statement at all. It’s just more divisive the-other-side-is-bad nonsense.
