BBC Laura Kuenssberg Show Accused of Anti-Green Bias After Cancelling Zack Polanski Interview The new Green Party leader was the only major party leader not to have been granted a conference interview on the flagship BBC show

The Greens requested an interview on the Laura Kuenssberg Show with Zack Polanski when he was elected leader, but were denied, with a promise to interview him during Green conference instead.

This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester

The reason they come for comedians early is that a comic license is surprisingly easy to revoke. You just have to stop laughing.

Comedy is about safety, spreading that feeling of safety, intimacy, shared values, group strength.

They don’t want you to feel safe. They want you to feel scared.

Links between Peter Mandelson and Jeffrey Epstein detailed in JPMorgan report Emails indicate then UK business secretary stayed at New York house while disgraced financier was in prison

we revealed in FT two years ago that Mandelson stayed at Epstein's luxury house in Manhattan while the financier was in jail for soliciting a minor

he was deputy prime minister at the time

always seemed weird that broadcasters didn't really pick this up at the time

@skynewsrss.bsky.social your headline about Angela Rayner “admits she should have paid more” is language suggesting she knew she should have rather than the complex reality with her disabled child that was subsequently described so annoying and misleading

Both this and the link of reposts is really interesting- Joel’s thread explains to me why I gave up on The Studio - couldn’t get it. Maybe will retry next time I get Apple TV

If council employed 3rd party contractors are at recycling centres they should be telling you it isn’t permitted to put them flat next to the bins, not watching you do it to then fine you. And if they aren’t but just using what’s on cardboard- letter should be a warning/explanation! It’s outrageous

Pasta companies, wtf, why do you continue to use bags that rip the moment i go near them? Why are they so difficult to open yet so prone to tearing once opened? Why don't you use normal bags? Everyone else has mastered bags, why not you?

You & Chupa Chups really need to sort your packaging out

There are so many news anchors quizzing 16yos about whether they know enough and have been taught enough about politics to vote and for goodness sake have they met anyone over 18?!! They are not exactly informed!

Superman is sat eating Lunch on a girder on a construction site with a construction worker called Glen, he tells him how lucky he is, he hells him how much he loves Lois and his kids.

Glen tells him about how his teenage sone is going through stuff, stealing money and how as a dad it’s difficult to teach him because as an Ex Con Glen feels telling him not to steal is hypocritical, and how his kid needs a dad like Superman.

Superman tells Glen he’s the perfect father to give that lesson; he has practical experience of right and wrong and the consequences, it’s not abstract for him. “You made the mistakes and you have the guts to turn it around” he says. “You’re the best dad for this, just tell him the truth and he’ll respect you for it”.

Superman gets a call back to Smallville, and tells Glen work’s calling him. Glen says “no worries, you don’t have to keep checking in with me, you have a universe to protect, you can’t be wasting your time on an Ex-con you put away like me” and Superman says “I’m not checking in on you Glen, I just like eating lunch with a friend that’s all”

This is Superman

I worked in Paddington at time and often think of 7/7 -a terrorist attack that killed 52 innocent people-that we rightly remember 20 years on. How many were affected, all the heroes who helped. How diff we think of this, compared to same happening every day in Gaza. It’s hard to get head around

not knowing if you were safe. Glad you were! Again reminded of 9/11 - completely coincidentally a generator blew up where we worked in Docklands and the whole place was evacuated as no one knew if it was gonna be multiple cities and then there was an explosion and smoke - v fast exit! Great piece 🙏🏻
