Everything you see around you, someone was paid to do that. The food, the services, the technology, the buildings, the infrastructure, literally everything. There's a saying that goes "When the money breaks, society breaks"

Anyone's permission to send (Looking at your, PayPal, visa, MasterCard, etc), and one that cannot be arbitrarily inflated away by some irresponsible government. 🤔

Money is the foundation of society. Not in the greedy sense but in the sense that it's literally half of every transaction...

So what we'll need is something that replicates the same qualities that makes gold/silver real money in the physical world, but digitally and still representing REAL at the same time. One that is truly your property when you hold it (like gold, physically, in your hands), one that does not require..

Imagine that, governments forced to be responsible? Crazy talk right? Lol. There are reasons we stopped using gold/silver as money as well, namely because moving it around as we connected trade worldwide was hard and expensive and because we live in a digital world today.

Paper currency is going through the same thing. Anyone relying on governments to maintain the value of paper that's more than what it's actually worth is going to be sorely mistaken. Paper is just not real money... Gold and silver was TOO good and forced people and governments to be disciplined...

The human story is filled with instances of people using forms of money that other people were able to exploit. That's why we don't use them as money anymore. Humans could easily create more glassbeads, feathers, Rai stones, seashells, etc so at some point people found those to be worthless.

When you REALLY let yourself think about it. Paper is not money. Paper is worthless. The numbers on the screen in your bank app are also worthless if nothing real is behind it. Stop getting caught up in all the noise and pay attention. Your savings is on the line here..

I'm sad to say, but I am going to have to sell my fursuit in order to not lose my home. I'm not sure how or where, but will figure out the details soon.

They can ruin the currency (Iran in this most recent example) but if you save in sound money which is money that they can't debase, then you are protected from these kind of events.

Dislike your government? One of the most powerful things you can do is remove their ability to destroy your savings

This is why moving back to sound money is so important because at least then it's not up to some shitty government to manage the value of the currency and ruin it. This is why I say this is the first thing everyone should focus on and then build infrastructure on top of it.

Thousands killed. When the currency collapses, it becomes nearly impossible to buy food and water which is often times when the real protesting begins. And in authoritarian regimes, you may get killed for it. No one asked to be born there.

Luckily we have alternatives in this day and age. Alternatives that are not controlled by governments. People born in the "right" jurisdictions may have a hard time understanding why sound money matters, but if you live anywhere else, it starts to make sense. This is why it's so important to me

Iran's fiat currency collapses, another one bites the dust... If you're just a regular person trying to live life and make ends meet but just have the unfortunate luck to be born in the wrong jurisdiction, how do you protect the value of the money you work for?

I could only fit so many words in the post but I wanted to say it's not JUST the CEOs. But they're also not where the problem actually begins! You can't really fix products OF the problem if you don't fix the problem itself! That's what I'm trying to convey

When you look at this, do you think it's the CEOs fault for randomly deciding to raise prices? This is part of what they need to consider. Since dollars are always being printed, its value is constantly dropping too, therefore prices have to rise as well. The issue is not the CEOs, it's the money
