Is six weeks too soon to feel nostalgic? Still thinking about the amazing time I had in London.
As we start the new year, prioritizing mental health and suicide prevention must remain a shared commitment. I'm re-sharing this piece I wrote for @afspnational.bsky.social last year highlighting how workplaces, communities, and individuals can do that. Check it out!

After an incredible IASR/AFSP Summit in Boston, I was honored to present a plenary on advancing equity and action at the Youth Suicide Prevention & Intervention Symposium in Denver. Eight days, three cities, two time zones—I’m exhausted but continually inspired by this work.
I'm excited to attend the International Summit on Suicide Research in Boston! If you'll be there and are interested in community- and policy-based suicide prevention, I'm presenting two posters. Check them out! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

It’s #NationalComingOutDay. I’m grateful for the family and friends who met me with love and support. It’s something I’ll never take for granted, especially now as so many LGBTQ+ people face hostility and harmful policies. To anyone still figuring it out: You’re not alone, and your truth matters. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

I had an amazing week disconnecting a bit while exploring Northern Michigan, Mackinac Island, and the Upper Peninsula. It’s about time I saw more of the state I’ve called home for eight years. What a beautiful place! #PureMichigan
Besties back together for brunch, brews, and banter. Always love seeing you, Jess and Blake! #BrunchBunch forever.
Last month I spoke at AFSP’s Advocacy Forum on using data and stories to drive change. Today, 988’s LGBTQ+ line was shut down. Advocacy matters, and it’s important to speak up. Join us in telling Congress to continue this important funding! afsp.quorum.us/campaign/12316…

Today marks 15 years since we lost David. The grief of losing a sibling to suicide is complicated. But I'm grateful for the moments when we remember him, and for the community, the career, and the purpose I found in this loss. That’s the “why” that keeps me going.
This week I presented at the @afspnational.bsky.social Advocacy Forum and joined 250+ advocates on Capitol Hill. From impact communication to policy change to evaluation, I’m grateful for the variety in my work and the many ways we advance suicide prevention. #AFSPAdvocacy
Cutting the LGBTQ+ youth-specific services of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline will have devastating impacts, putting young lives at risk. @afspnational.bsky.social urges Congress to reverse this decision. I’m proud to work for an organization that fights for what’s right.
