Would there be a chance the systems used to port S1 to PC would work with other Sonic-Style Games, Such as Spinball or Chaotix? This looks awesome so far and if the technology is universal then that'd be fantastic for preservation!

two major milestones in the #sonic1cport have been hit!
- we now have sound! the sound driver from the rom has been fully ported, using libvgm for emulation
- the engine can now render gameplay offline. this allows me to encode videos like this one without frame dips

A Sonic drawing from 2022. It features a happy sonic, with a arm pointing up and eyes closed, exclaiming "yea!" The format of this art was meant for a sticker/emoticon, thus the lack of lower half. His torso is oval, and his head is less round. his muzzle has a weird shape, and doesnt compliment his eyes well. In my opinion, this art didnt age very well, lol.

The new art from 2024. Same premise; Happy Sonic Pointing a hand up and saying "yea!". In this one, I apply some principles I learned in the community over the years. His torso is a rounder shape, somewhat smaller than the head. His head now doesnt flatten at the top and the muzzle curves along with his eyes. This version, unlike the 2022 one, features legs, as this wasnt drawn with emotes in mind. He also features shading, wich I heavily took cues from Sonic 1/CD. All in All, a pretty proud advancement for me, however, I'd still like to improve my porportions in 2025.

Remade some 2022 art, I think it turned out puh-retty swell for 2 years drawin this blue prick....
