It is the first time I have ever agreed with anything Tucker Carlson has said. Who knows, he might soon come out and say something else obvious and true like, "breathing is good."

Sometimes, nothing makes things more succinct and clear than a simple cartoon. This is excellent. I am sad that it is the case, as there are so many good Americans (many of my ethical heroes are Americans) but it is also sadly, true.

2) we have all heard of Senator Joseph McCarthy and his paranoid anti-Communist investigations. McCarthy directly targeted journalists, writers, and networks. He pressured networks to avoid airing material he deemed “subversive”, threatening congressional action or public exposure.

The Far Right whinge about "Free Speech" but isn't it amazing that Right Wing Gov'ments are known for censoring free speech, especially when it is critical of them. Now, the Tiny-Hand Tyrant has managed to pressure ABC to sack a late-night host who is constantly critical of the Marmalade Moron.

I am not an American but, I absolutely agree with your position. I was very moved by your words on the protection of children from guns. Gun violence must end. The people have had enough suffering.

It feels very George Orwell ... but for tiny-brained, tangerine tyrants, instead!

This confuses me, I must say. If you were aware that it is Paine's quote, then why act as if you are not? If you don't like the term, don't use it. Or, if you don't like it being used, respectfully talk about it. Every word we choose, has a history, yet in dialogue, we learn.

If this is an example of you being kind or tolerant, then I am afraid I don't want your kind of world. Perhaps find someone else to throw your hate at. I prefer to treat each person as if they matter. Perhaps, you can turn the other cheek and offer me the same. :)

You're forgetting the original name of Christie's book. I'm entirely against anyone "correcting" the work of others. Let it stand, with its failings so we learn. Re-painting everything in your image - you will never see beyond your own reflection. Offered with respect.

Also, the name-calling is unnecessary. If you would like me to be receptive to your ideas, then please, speak with dignity to me (and others). Otherwise you will find I will hold your ideas in the same position as your courtesy which is (on this occasion) lacking. <3

I'm in favour of retrofitting history. A person's words are their own. To change all we now see as unjust would be endless. Having tolerance for our elders & their past ways shows we are just. Demanding they be the same as us is being forgetful that growth is a path; not a repaint. :)
