I’m doing better over on Threads but Bluesky is still way better than what Twitter has become. Much more positive, better engagement.

See, I will do just about anything else to a character. The MC of my YA novel has PTSD because she walked in on her dad having killed her mom so she stabbed him in the neck with a knife. But there’s something about rape, it’s almost normalizing it or romanticizing it…? Idk. I hate it so much.

Stabbing her dad in the throat after he murdered her mom. 😬

Digital plus. I’ll do my first pass digitally, then I’ll have a text-to-speech app read my story back to me while I’m following along. It’s the most efficient for me.

Thank you. I don’t even allow rape in my stories, it makes me that uncomfortable.

Sometimes I wonder if there’s something wrong with me with how much crap I put my characters through. 😬

I’ve got three you should meet! 😁

I finally worked through some of my mental health issues, which has freed up more mental energy for my writing. In the past six months, I've written a 100,000 word YA novel, an early chapter book, and around 20 flash fiction stories. I love being productive for the first time in my life. 🙂

I'm still struggling with that myself. I'm doing very well on Threads but I'm still trying to figure out Bluesky.

Hello and welcome! I don't quite know what I'm doing on here but I've had a ton of engagement over on Threads. Hopefully Bluesky takes off, too. (But maybe I'm just not putting enough time into it?)

Holy moly. Mine just wake me up at 5:00 in the morning begging for food. I've never heard of a cat getting a keyboard jammed! 😮

And that's a real mixed blessing. 🤔

She had surgery for chylothorax and it appears to have been successful. She’s got her personality and energy back. It cost over $12,000 but we were fortunate enough to have pet insurance.

Yeah, he’s a Devon Rex… short, curly fur, big ears, and tons of personality. ❤️
