If I had a role gaming group of course everything changes

I lobby for Warhammer 4th
Probably play something D&Dish
Maybe Forbidden Lands
I have oodles of choices

But some games just want a group of other humans to run well
And yes, I don't like playing through a computer
I need in person

I reeeeeaally want to play Warhammer and Forbidden Lands and I even like Palladium Fantasy

But done solo, they are a lot of effort
And fantasy is fantasy, I get the same fun solo with simple designs

Whitebox True D6 and D12 RPG are great designs
They don't have large font
Glasses are a bother :)

Some times it is the small details that cast the winning vote

Shadowdark is in large font
It is not verbose
Just the facts and well displayed

That beats a few that were great otherwise
Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game hard cover cheap well written
Whiitebox fits in a purse

With solo easy counts

Seems a shame though to not be using some of my really nice RPG designs

But again, why use anything other than no.1

None as well presented as Shadowdark Except maybe OSE if considering how easy it is to read/use

But Shadowdark so completely aces making the DMs job simple (all those charts/tables)
