Thank you, Joshua Witter, for coming in and speaking to our M-ECSD Entrepreneurship class this week! We learned about skills that are needed in the business world, the importance of networking, that career paths aren't always straight and the importance of learning something new everyday!

TY, Sante Women's Clinic, for hosting M-ECSD student Sophia, for a job shadow. "I learned it is very important you understand what you’re looking at to recognize if the baby is doing well or not, another thing I learned was that it is important to make your patients feel comfortable and welcome."

Would definitely use Bonita Jetski & Parasail chair rental and reservation service again! Ease to use and they were prompt with setting up the chairs. Also a great spot to catch a sunset!

Thank you, EFP, for hosting M-ECSD student, Elizabeth, for a job shadow. "I learned that empathy and listening skills are some of the most important parts of the job. I also learned that people go to family medicine for more than just regular checkups, like ER follow-ups and post-hospital visits."

Thank you, Dr. Gennett, for hosting M-ECSD student, Lauren, for a job shadow. "At the podiatry center, I learned about the importance of proper footwear and orthotics. I also learned about the serious impact of diabetes on the legs, feet, and ankles, which I was not previously aware of."

TY to Progressive Dental NY for hosting M-ECSD student, Macey, for a job shadow. "I learned about periodontal disease, which occurs after untreated gingivitis and causes permanent damage to the gum-line."

TY to Synergy Endwell for hosting M-ECSD student, Dillon, for a job shadow. "Personal Trainers are responsible for tailoring a workout program based on how a client is on the day of, and any objections or concerns they may have for the workout at hand."

Thank you to BC Public Defender's Office for hosting M-ECSD student, Alateya, for a job shadow. "I learned there's more than attorneys in a law building. I also learned that for some parole hearings there's a separate building and room for them instead of going to the court house."

TY to OA Schools Tech teacher, Sean Carney, for hosting M-ECSD student, Ev, for a job shadow. "I learned that there will be times where you have to maintain the equipment and troubleshooting for machines. The second thing I learned is that there is no state curriculum for technology teachers."

TY to the BC Public Defender's Office for hosting M-ECSD S, Izzy, for a job shadow. "I learned the difference between Technical and Non-technical violations/violators & in specific cases people can plead ACD, which pushes their case for a specific amount of time before it is completely dismissed"

Thank you to M-ECSD PT Mrs. DiMaria for hosting Adalyn for a job shadow. "I learned that even though physical therapy is a big thing in a school setting there are many other job opportunities. You are able to get jobs in schools or hospitals while you could also have your own business."
