You should get Deep Rock Galactic because that is a beginner friendly one. You mine resources and escape to unlock loot, and there is a season pass system almost like a free live service game. Grind to buy stuff and to do harder missions with friends or randoms.

I use to not respect myself as a game dev because I got my start as a freeware dev making web games. 2011 was my first release and I have made 25 free projects since then.

Meeting other successful game designers that started as freeware devs was super validating this GDC.

On the plane to GDC I was playing Balatro, the person next to me was playing Slay the Spire, and to my right someone was playing Vampire Survivors

I yearn for the the reefs. Restock the hand soap and drier sheets and imma get those too.

Haunt Hop was made in about 10 days with a team of 5. The theme of the jam was "You are the Weapon" and I think we came up with a really cool concept.

I was really sad about the TikTok ban bill passing. But honestly I have the same amount of attachment to TT as I do YouTube. Its hard to loose something as entertaining as these platforms. Still I do agree a lot of people in my age group (20s) are addicted to media.
