Sometimes the person giving you that advice has good intentions and is just trying to help keep you from stressing out, but other times the person giving you that advice might be trying to tell you to stay in your lane, and there could be multiple less well-intentioned reasons for saying that.

I made a French omelet like in that TV show The Bear where I piped Boursain cheese in the middle of the omelet and then topped it with broken potato chips.
