Yet it is President Trump's dystopian world view that is unrecognisable for most democrats across Europe, as the transatlantic alliance has done so much to shape the world in which we live. As Phillips herself points out, the central irony of the new Trump doctrine is that it combines a commitment to regime change among democratically elected governments in Europe with an entirely hands-off approach to co-existence with its authoritarian allies in Vladimir Putin's Kremlin. Entering the US illegally isn't even a felony, it's a misdemeanor. Overstaying a visa isn't even a crime, it's a civil offense, like letting your car registration lapse. Conservatives out here acting like being in the US without the proper papers is equivalent to murder. Buddy it's not even equivalent to what the president was already convicted of, 34 felonies! denverprotests

Richman's Rule 41 (g) motion is not designed to secure the return of property that he needs or wants. It is a strategic tool to obstruct the investigation and potential prosecution of James Comey, and granting it would have the effect of serving as a suppression ruling if Comey is indicted again. But that is emphatically not the purpose of a proper Rule 41(g) motion. Similarly, the Court's grant of Richman's request for preliminary relief has effectively enjoined the government from investigating and potentially prosecuting Comey. But federal courts cannot enjoin federal criminal prosecutions; a civil plaintiff cannot circumvent bedrock federal criminal procedure via an equitable proceeding like this one. So the Court should dissolve its temporary restraining order and deny Petitioner's motion.

2. Multiple factual impossibilities These may be intentional satire, but if not, they are incorrect: • • "The current Secretary of Defense is a former talk show host for Fox News." "The Deputy Director of the FBI used to guest-host Sean Hannity's show." "Jeanine Pirro is the U.S. District Attorney for DC!" Since none of these statements are true, they undermine credibility unless clearly signposted as hyperbole, fiction, or satire. If they are intentionally exaggerated, you might rewrite as: "To illustrate the point, imagine a world where..." or "It can sometimes feel as if..."

politics infecting our justice system. What these obstructionists misunderstood is that my loyalty is not to politics, a title, or a ZIP code. It is to this great country. As a result of the Third Circuit's ruling, and to protect the stability and integrity of the office which I love, I have decided to step down in my role as the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey. But do not mistake compliance for surrender. This decision will not weaken the Justice Department and it will not weaken me. My fight will now stretch across the country. As we wait for further review of the courts ruling, I will continue to serve the Department of Justice as the Senior Advisor to the Attorney General for U.S. Attorneys. In recent years, images and terms associated with the Crusades in the Middle East have been appropriated by white supremacists, including the Jerusalem Cross. In 2020, Jillette distanced himself from aspects of libertarianism, particularly surrounding COVID-19. In an interview with Big Think, he stated, "[A] lot of the illusions that I held dear, rugged individualism, individual freedoms, are coming back to bite us in the ass." He went on to elaborate, "[I]t seems like getting rid of the gatekeepers gave us Trump as president, and in the same breath, in the same wind, gave us not wearing masks, and maybe gave us a huge unpleasant amount of overt racism."[57] In a 2024 interview, he said he renounced his libertarianism as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic after a libertarian group asked him to speak at an anti-mask rally. "The fact they sent me this email is something I need to be very ashamed of, and I need to change" adding "Many times when I identified as Libertarian, people said to me, 'It's just rich white guys that don't want to be told what to do,' and I had a zillion answers to that - and now that seems 100 percent accurate." She has one note for her new fans. "Calling us 'wine moms' is reductive and somewhat sexist," Ms. Welch said. But she detests "the language police," and finds it unhelpful in her project of building a broad coalition on the left. "If they want to call us 'wine moms' because there's a need to feel maternal care from a group of women that are usually the Karens and the conservatives, that's fine. I'll take one for the team," she said. But for the record: "I don't drink wine."

Yaroslav Trofimov ❤ @yarotrof X.com Imagine if the EU had issued a paper saying that its strategic priority is the breakup of the United States into 50 separate states, and we will support the “healthy” ones in the south and the east, because Europeans believe that America has lost its civilizational values. Not hostile to America, just to the United States. 07:30 - 7/12/25 35K Views
